We designed the first version of our Dust Boot to work with HSD spindles like the ones that ShopSabre machines offer. The mounting point of the Boot fits around the “nose” just above the gauge line.
There’s a good chance it will work with more machines.

How to Measure for Spindle Nose Mount
To confirm your mount size, measure the nose diameter – we recommend using calipers. A tape measure will not be accurate. It will likely be the lowest step on the spindle that does not rotate.
Mounts can close down up to 2–3 mm smaller than listed, but won’t expand more than 1–2 mm without causing damage.
General Fit Dimensions
Below is a diagram showing the fit of the Dust Boot in a plan view. The mounting hole can tighten down about 2–3 mm to fit a slightly smaller spindle or possibly 3 mm larger. You need to avoid the red area, which is the Dust Boot port.
