We designed the first version of our Dust Boot to work with HSD spindles like the ones that ShopSabre machines offer. The mounting point of the Boot fits around the 100mm diameter “nose” just above the gauge line.
We know it works with:
- HSD ES915 - 5HP - 100mm mount
- HSD ES919 - 10HP - 100mm mount
- HSD AT/MT 1090/140 - 9HP - 85mm mount
- HSD 2.3HP spindle on ShopSabre 23 - 75mm mount
- Hiteco 4HP on Avid's - 75mm mount
- Colombo Spindle - 85mm mount
There’s a good chance it will work with more machines but we have yet to confirm other models at this time.
Below is a diagram showing the fit of the Dust Boot in a plan view. The mounting hole can tighten down about 4-6mm to fit a slightly smaller spindle or possibly 3mm larger. You need to have clear or avoid the red area which is the Dust Boot port.
